What are the selection criteria used by BrandOutLoud to determine the suitability of a project?
At BrandOutLoud we work in close partnership with our client organisations and feel strongly committed to the projects we engage in. Whether the project is supported by the aid organisation itself or funded by the BrandOutLoud Fund, before giving our commitment we always determine the suitability of each project, in which transparency, reliable budgets and the absence of corruption are the key elements. Therefore, in the process of establishing a partnership with new clients, we will request their latest annual and financial reports in order to get a better insight into the organisation and its work.
Which party (between BrandOutLoud and the client organisation) has the right to provide photographers? Can the aid organization provide images and graphics during the short term project or is it only the right of BrandOutLoud?
In our work, imagery is the essence of 'visualising your the message'. This key message is the starting point of the branding and communication we develop for the aid organisation. We believe knowing who you are and speaking from your authentic voice, will attract the right audience and supporters for your organisation. It is our policy that during the short term 3 month on-site project, BrandOutLoud will be the only party to develop and produce all imagery, both for the identity (visualising who you are) as well as documentary (i.e. telling the stories of who you help and how you work). The supplies the aid organisation with a stock of professional high quality images that can be used for its promotional efforts. Even though distinctive imagery and graphics are the key elements of our work, we consider our projects to be a partnership, so if the aid organisation already has a photographer and designer they would like to work with, we are open to consider their participation. However, this is not how we usually like to work, and any decision to work together really depends on the local creative’s’ qualities and expertise.
What does BrandOutLoud provide during the project?
BrandOutLoud will provide a team of 2 professionals, consisting of a photographer/ creative director and a copywriter/ communications consultant. The team will be on-site with the project during the complete course of the project (generally 3 months). Together with the aid organisation the BrandOutLoud team will develop new branding, design and communication, starting with a well thought-out creative concept, up to various communications tools like a website, logo & style, business cards, letterheads, leaflets etc.
Does BrandOutLoud also do workshops to enhance capacity building?
BrandOutLoud believes that the journey towards the end result is just as important as the end result itself. Throughout the process our team will be there to train the local staff of the aid organisation how to use all these new tools by providing tutorials, instruction manuals and/ or workshops. As a follow-up program, BrandOutLoud will continue to provide the aid organisation with two years of back-up and support for the tools created.
On behalf of the aid organisation I am considering a new website only. Will BrandOutLoud be interested to work with us?
Despite BrandOutLoud is always interested in working with aid organisations to encourage them to develop their own branding and communications, we believe in providing a total package of communications tools; starting with visualising the keymessage. And not in offering single tools, as website, leaflets or posters only. However, it is our policy to provide tailor-made communications, we will always be happy to consider any proposals. Best is to contact Judith Madigan and submit your request.
On behalf of the aid organisation I am looking for a photographer. Can BrandOutLoud provide imagery/ photographs only?
Despite BrandOutLoud is always interested in working with aid organisations to encourage them to develop their own branding and communications, we believe in providing a total package of communications tools; starting with visualising the keymessage by combining distinct imagery and graphic design. And not in offering photographs or imagery only. However, photography is one of our core services, we will always be happy to consider any proposals. BrandOutLoud staff/volunteers will travel to, live and work with the client organisation for three months. How will this be organized? What are the assignments of each party involved?
BrandOutLoud will arrange travel and accommodation for our team, which consists of 2 persons. We’d like to ask the aid organisation to help us with visas. Ideally, our team would like to have the opportunity to work with the staff in the aid organisation's office. In the process of establishing a partnership, BrandOutLoud will provide a project proposal, a contract and a commitment policy. These outline BrandOutLoud's commitment, and also state what commitment we expect from the aid organisation.
With whom does BrandOutLoud work?
BrandOutLoud invests in projects and people in every part of the world regardless of their religious, ethnic or social background. Besides local aid organisations BrandOutLoud aims to work with international development organisations. These can be either international non-governmental organisations, foundations, charities or funds. Together with their local partner organisations in developing countries they strive for a better world. While the international development organisation knows the needs of their local partners, BrandOutLoud contributes to the development of their partners by branding, design and communication, the aim being to make local aid organisations more independent and sustainable.
